I was working with Mike Lee, a single proprietor of Silver Key 2 years ago. At the time, I was looking to fill engineering and architect positions on the behalf of my employer, a small startup company in the Silicon Valley. Mike was a headhunter focusing on placements with small software firms like mine backed by Venture Capital firms in the Silicon Valley.
Although he lives in Brush Prairie WA, Mike places technology engineers, solution architects, system architects and lower-level engineering staff for small startups, primarily those based in the SF bay area. Mike provided my company with good services, although most of the resumes arrived in 2-3 zip packages, each containing about 10 resumes. I'm also uncertain how many of the applicants were actually aware that their resumes were mass-mailed to my employer. The quality of the candidates was mixed, to say the least, which could be indicative of the lack of solid screening process by Mike. I ended up rejecting 95% of his resumes, and hiring my own finds.
In conclusion, if you enjoy hands-off recruiting process, and your resume mass-mailed, Mike can be just the headhunter for you.
