The good:
One good thing is there is a fairly nice employee wireless plan.
The bad:
The pay is just above minimum. They no longer use pay as a carrot really, they pretend to do so - but long time employees see that they no longer make as much selling the same stuff. They seem to cut back pay for those who sell the most. The company is weeding out long term employees where they can.
The work load is heavy - but what else would one expect from an employer?
Other employees are friendly - they are just trying to keep their head down and not get fired.
As for tools - well example is they used to have radioshacktv and a whole bunch of training videos for new learning and refresher. But now that is gone. The current leadership in texas had tried to cut expenses where ever they could - including expenses that paid for themselves with sales.
The store managers are usually good. They are just trying to keep their job I guess. The district managers are all over the place as far as good or bad. The had a region mgr for a year from the outside who just left. Never saw him or heard from him myself - the managers wondered what the heck he did with his time. But now that he is gone - everybody above thinks that the poor numbers are the managers fault? Word is out that the dms are going to fire managers who have been around a long time.
They used to only promote managers from within - now they are putting people in off the street - easy come easy go I guess.
