Thanks for your interest in BeyondJob!
BeyondJob.com, formerly known as LinkedNow, is an online guide that helps job seekers find company and recruiter reviews, based on the informed opinions of an active community of working professionals in the know.
Users can also write reviews and rate their own companies. This in return, helps job seekers make informed decisions and allows users to build their social network with other professionals.
BeyondJob will also get your employment questions of every kind answered in our advice blog: How do I standout in a tough job market? How to I handle a colleague who is a saboteur? How do I deal with losing my job when I wasn’t at fault? I’m the boss and my staff criticizes me. What should I do?
BeyondJob’s ranking algorithm uses a proprietary system called CompanyRank to classify employers. Each company is rated based on 7 criteria such as Trust in Senior Leadership, Job Security and Career Growth among others that we found vital to gauge a company’s competitiveness as an employer.
Our long-term goal is for a user to be able to come to BeyondJob with any career decision he is pondering, and after reading company and recruiter reviews, get a solid idea on what companies he would like to work for. It would be as though he had a close, knowledgeable friend at the company and or done hours of careful research online.
BeyondJob began an invite-only beta preview period on Janury 7, 2009. BeyondJob opened to the public on March 1, 2009. BeyondJob is currently building its base of company and recruiter reviews, and advice blogs. It will soon be in a private beta period for its Unified Communication service based on Google Wave platform for users who create an account.
Some of the company and recruiter review pages on BeyondJob link to external sites where users can purchase the product or service that BeyondJob proposed. If they do, BeyondJob may earn a referral fee from the merchant.
